I am so lucky - I got to try out a preview of the MCP Actions new Magic Blog It Boards actions. They are super cool. These are totally going to change the way I share images on my blog.
These actions provide you a way to quickly put together photo collages to that are web-sized and ready to display on your website or blog. They are so easy to use....choose the number of photos from the action set and then just follow the prompts to fill in the blanks. I'm so excited to use these for my sneak peeks on my photography blog. It takes no time at all. Then you can add branding bars and resize for the web column width that you need.
You can check out a video demo from the MCP site to see how it works. They are scheduled to be released on 9/3/08.
Updated to add: The actions were released today for purchase for $65. Here's the description from the website:
The MCP “Magic Blog It Board” photoshop actions create collages and display boards with between 2 and 16 openings. The actions insert photos for you and will drastically reduce the time you spend preparing collages, templates, and storyboards for your blog and site.
They work on Photoshop CS2 and CS3. Visit the MCP Actions blog to learn more!

I love these and the other actions.
how do you plan on using these?
You mentioned sneak peaks, would it be like then linking over to more pictures from a shoot or to get the client excited with the teaser before seeing the photos themselves? Just wondering because I can totally see the value in the collages and such for quick promotion and also wonder if it could be used for some small print.

Oh fun, I noticed Christie is already using these on her blog!!!! Awesome.
Scott, I plan on using these pretty much for sneak peeks on my site. Usually I post 2-5 images for a sneak peek that is meant to just build anticipation from a client until I get the rest of the session proofed. Right now I post the images as fairly small individual images. My plan is to revise my photography blog to create a wider center column and use these boards as a more polished way to display the images. I can also see using them to create online marketing posters for limited edition sessions or mini sessions at a specific location by highlighting photos taken at the location previously. I'm not sure if the files are high res enough to print but if so, definitely only for smaller prints. There are other actions out there for creating high res collages.
