Sometimes What the Duck knows just what to say. Sometimes it is what we WANT to say but know we cannot. Sometimes our clients can frustrate us. And there is SOOOO much correspondence we have to manage. In a lot of ways email has probably added so much time to workload even though the appeal of asyncronous communication is understandable. I actually reply to a TON of email late at night and I frequently get email late at night too.
Recently Joyce Smith added to her already fab What to Wear guide by releasing a new product: What to Write. I was happy to plunk down my $50 to get the vast collection of pre-worded email messages with everything from session reminder email messages to sneak peek messages. Like any other template, they are a great guide to start from and tweak for your own purpose. And like other templates, they are a great head start to save you time so you aren't sitting there staring at a blank screen when you need to send an email to a client.

wow...i can't thank you enough for posting this! it was EXACTLY what i needed! i was on the verge of sending that very email, in the cartoon, to a client a few hours ago... thanks for helping me smile and be regrounded!

Jessica - I've been following your blog for a while and love it. I've gotten great tips and I love your work. Since you're in Houston, I thought you would love an event coming up next week put together by my friend Amy, here in Chicago. I know she's already hooked up with Karen Walrond who probably already know in Houston. Anyway, I'm sending you the links to the event and to Amy's site (which explains all).http://houstonist.com/2009/03/26/make_lovely_houston.php
